Questions, answered
Do I have to go anywhere?
No. Home kits arrive in the post and go back in a prepaid pack. If you choose a nurse visit, the nurse comes to your home or workplace at a time you choose.
Finger-prick, Tasso or nurse: which should I choose?
A finger-prick kit is the simplest and cheapest, and is offered on Essential, which needs only a small sample. The Tasso device draws a larger capillary sample from the upper arm almost painlessly, so it is available on every panel. A nurse visit takes a full venous sample and is the right choice if you would rather not do it yourself. The lab and the report are the same whichever you pick.
Do I need to fast?
Yes. First thing in the morning, before food, so glucose and cholesterol read cleanly. Water is fine. We confirm exactly what to do when you book.
How long do results take?
Results land within days of the sample reaching the lab, colour-coded and in plain English. The doctor consult is booked once your results are in.
What does the doctor consult cover?
A private call in which a doctor walks through each marker, what is optimal, what is simply in range and what stands out, read together in the context of your age, sex and how you feel. You leave with a clear next step and a baseline to measure change against. It is included with every panel.
Which panel should I start with?
If in doubt, Metabolic Essential. If you train seriously or want to see hormones, Performance. If hormones are the reason you are testing, Wellman or Wellwoman. Elite is the fullest picture, with thyroid and advanced heart markers.
Is this a replacement for my GP?
No. Lyfestyle is a private wellness test that gives you a clear picture of your own numbers. If you have symptoms, or a result raises something that needs treatment, you should see your GP. The doctor will tell you if that is the case.
