I'm an operational Watch Manager within the Fire and Rescue Service, having joined when I was 19. I'm also lucky enough to be involved in The Firefighters Podcast, leading the social media and merchandise side of things, as well as being one of the UK-based Pink Firefighters. I love what I do, and being able to do it is an absolute privilege.
Hi, my name is Helena, I'm a firefighter for the UK Fire and Rescue Service. I'm committed to inspiring and empowering other women to pursue their dreams in the firefighting profession. Through dedication and hard work I've been honoured as an ambassador for Rosenbauer, and I train for firefighter challenges nationally and internationally, having won titles such as the British Firefighter Challenge and the stair climb challenge in Saudi Arabia, along with overall female at the Cheshire and Welsh Firefighter Challenge. My focus now is the Toughest Firefighter Alive competition in Denmark. Rest days, quality sleep, nutrition and hydration are the key components that underpin my fitness and success.
We are a team of firefighters who compete in a sport called The Firefighter Challenge. Over the past couple of years we've had great success, becoming British Relay Champions in 2022 and having many individual successes too, including British champions and a French champion. Our team is made up of both male and female firefighters, and since being supported by Lyfe Linez we've seen 10 personal bests, two individual champions and a team victory.
